GCP vs Operational Delays
PROJECT DETAILS
Project Description
This research explores a comparative analysis between GCP (Global Cargo Port) and OD (Operational Delays) in maritime operations. The study investigates how time losses, handling capacity, and crane utilization affect overall port efficiency. The comparison focuses on understanding the quantitative relationship between operational delays and Gross Crane Productivity (GCP), highlighting how minimizing delays can significantly improve terminal performance.
2. Research Objectives
The objectives of this study include:
• To measure the effect of operational delays on terminal productivity.
• To compare monthly and vessel-based GCP variations.
• To use regression and ANOVA tests for determining statistical significance.
• To analyze diagnostic plots such as Residuals vs Fitted, QQ Plot, and Cook’s Distance for model validation.
